Victoria was Emporium Parties first franchisee and has been running Emporium Parties  Kent since 2005.

 

She has 10 years experience in the childrens' entertainment industry.  Victoria is responsible for ensuring employees know where and when they have to entertain and contacting customers to confirm their party details.  She is a valuable member of the Emporium Parties team and assists with training new franchisees and their staff as well as maintaining the company websites.

 

Here's what Victoria has to say about her Franchise experience:

 

"Me run my own business...organising and running a children's party and talk on a microphone... you gotta be kidding!.. that was the furthest thing from my mind.  But looking back now, I still find it hard to believe that I do what I do and get a great income by being paid to party.

 

My passion in life is dance.  So to do what I do is just the best thing ever!.  I have a husband, 4 children, a home and a part time job and still manage to run a successful business.  My husband and children are so supportive in everything I do, I wouldn't be able to do it without them.  My 11 year old daughter even helps with party prep and of course I'm just the coolest Mum ever when I was asked to provide party services at her school! 

 

Being the 1st trial franchisee, I was happy with plod along with just the 1 team.  Now due to the success of the trial franchise and Emporium Parties offering franchise opportunities nationwide, I have approached Emporium Parties and am now looking to purchase a 2nd territory to expand my franchise from part-time to full-time".

 

April 2010 update: Vicky has now expanded her business and has employed more entertainers to work for her. She is now ready to take her business to another level and will be looking to have a full time business by the end of this year. Good Luck Vicky

 

 

 

 

Melanie is the Branch Manager for West Sussex and manages our Haywards Heath Branch. She has 4 children and holds a current CRB certificate and is first aid trained. Melanie attended the Roshe School of dance for 10yrs and has advance levels in Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Modern. She has also performed at the Hawth Theatre and Sadlers Wells in London.

Melanie and has been running Emporium Parties Haywards Heath since December 2009. Melanie is a mum to 4 boys and has previous experience and qualifications in many different type of dance.

 

 Here's what Melanie has to say about her Franchise experience:

 

“I was looking on netmums for party ideas for my son in October 2009. I stumbled across Emporium Parties and noticed that they were offering franchises in my area. I was not actually looking for a new career at the time but the franchise really appealed to me. I called them for further details and the following week I met with Karen & Tony and was ready to launch in January 2010. I attended some training in November and December.

 

Emporium Parties Built and uploaded my website in December ready to take booking from January the 18th of January as I wanted to get Christmas,  new year and my 30th Birthday out of the way first.

 

My first party was on Sat 23rd January and from January to the time of writing this (12th March 2010) I have had 22 parties. I was amazed at how quickly the bookings have been coming in and I have bookings up to July already. I am currently only doing Saturdays as I want to be with my family on Sundays so I have limited the number of bookings I can take but I have now taken on 3 staff and am training them to start running parties on other days of the week. I am so excited about where the business is going and would like to thank Emporium Parties for all the support.

 

April 2010 update:  Melanie now has a team working on Sundays and will be having 2 teams available on both weekend days and weekdays from May. We have been really pleased with how quickly Melanie has gained her own reputation and she already has repeat customer bookings and customer recommendations.
